How to Check Vehicle Registration through SMS

For citizens who are not frequent internet users (difficult in today’s time) or for those who do not know how to use the internet, the Excise Department has also presented an offline SMS vehicle verification service that helps users by motivating them regarding vehicle registration check whenever they find themselves in the process of buying a new or a secondhand/used car. The service charges for sending the text come at a minor cost of 50 paise.

Note: SMS car verification service is only available in Punjab and the capital city, Islamabad. After sending the SMS, you’ll get vehicle registration details, including the engine number, color, token, make, chassis number, and registration date.

How to Check Vehicle Registration Online

For online vehicle verification, each province (except Balochistan) obtains its own website called the Motor Transport Management Information System (MTMIS):

• MTMIS Islamabad is available for Islamabad

Islamabad residents can also log into the Islamabad City App through their phones and check vehicle registration online in Islamabad.
